Since 1927 Lario has operated throughout both the U.S. and Canada focusing it’s resources and capital on rate of return driven projects. Historically, Lario has driven growth through the drill-bit, discovering reserves organically from geologic thesis, to land acquisition and finally exploratory drilling and field delineation. Lario has built from the ground floor several assets over many decades, namely strong positions in the Powder River Basin, the Niobrara play in the D.J. Basin, Kansas and Canada. While Lario will buy reserves during periods of low commodity prices, Lario will sell assets opportunistically. Over the last several years, Lario has done just that and divested over $500 million worth of properties in the aforementioned areas. Lario has taken portions of those proceeds to invest in higher rate of return projects in the Williston Basin, Mid Continent, Permian Basin and the Appalachian Basin.
Bakken / Three Forks – Lario has sold multiple asset packages in the Bakken/Three Forks over the last several years, retaining its core holdings in Mountrail County, North Dakota. These assets comprise over 610 wells with years of drilling inventory remaining.
Western Kansas – In Kansas Lario operates a multi-rig development program over its 200,000 acre position targeting the Lansing / Kansas City formations.
Permian Basin – The Permian Basin has been an important focus area for Lario since the 1940s. To date, Lario has multiple legacy assets in the Midland Basin, Delaware Basin and the Central Basin Platform. Lario is actively seeking new opportunities in the Permian today primarily focusing on unconventional assets such as the Wolfcamp Shale.
South Central Kansas – With over 85 operated producing wells in this part of Kansas, Lario continues to maintain its active presence through its field office in Murdock, KS.
Oklahoma – Lario has been active in Oklahoma for decades, and still maintains field offices in Pauls Valley, OK focusing on its legacy oil assets. Lario continues to strategically seek new opportunities in this region.
Utica Shale Ohio – With it’s industry partner, Lario has a contiguous ~23,000 net acre position in the wet gas /condensate region of the play. Lario and its partner have drilled an extensive science well on its acreage, leading up to planned horizontal development.
